The UGA Physical Plant and Enterprise Information Technology Services are in the process of installing a power generator for the Boyd Data Center. This installation will complete a much-needed power upgrade to the Data Center that will provide stand-alone power in the event of a major power outage, allowing critical systems located in the Boyd Data Center to remain online in the event of a prolonged power outage.
