Connecting to MyDrive/MyWeb
There are currently three ways to connect to MyDrive/MyWeb and upload your web pages to your "www" folder on MyDrive:
1. MyDrive/MyWeb Web Interface
Recommended Browsers:
Windows: Internet Explorer 6.0+, Firefox 1.5+
Macintosh: Firefox 1.5+ (Safari does not work)
Login to MyDrive by going to http://my.uga.edu (The Portal) or http://mydrive.uga.edu (The MyDrive Homepage).
Navigate to your www directory and then you can manage your files using the built-in menus from within the MyDrive/MyWeb Web Interface.
2. Secure FTP®
MyDrive/MyWeb allow connections via FTPS, which is a secure version of FTP (File Transfer Protocol) over SSL.
MyDrive/MyWeb does not currently allow connections via SFTP, which is a different connectivity protocol based on SSH.
We recommend SecureFTP®, which is a program that is available free of charge for non-commercial use. It will allow you to connect securely to MyDrive to upload/download files and folders. It offers drag and drop functionality and is available for Windows, the Macintosh OS, and UNIX.
Download Secure FTP® for PC, Macintosh, or UNIX from http://sitesoft.uga.edu (UGA MyID login requried for download)

3. WebDrive® Windows Version only
WebDrive® is a software program that allows WINDOWS users to connect to MyDrive/MyWeb using WebDav.
WebDav is short for World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning, which is a set of extensions to the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) which allows users to collaboratively edit and manage files on remote Web servers. It's basically a way for you to connect to a remote server(computer) and upload or download content.
Both WINDOWS and MACINTOSH computers have built-in WebDav capabilities, however, they are not compatable with MyDrive/MyWeb at this time. For Windows machines we recommend WebDrive®. For Macintosh machines, we recommend that you use another method to connect to MyDrive.
Download WebDrive® from http://sitesoft.uga.edu (PC version only, UGA MyID required for download)
