Some sample documents for the MVS/TSO system:
-
An overview of the MVS
JCL (Job Control Language).
JCL controls Batch programs on an MVS system. It
calls up appropriate compilers (such as C/370, Fortran, or PL/I), packages
(such as BMDP, Lisrel, SAS, or SPSS), utilities (such as ADRDSSU, and DSDUMP),
and miscellaneous batch programs (such as TSOBATCH, and FTP).
-
Our introduction to TSO
and ISPF (Time Sharing Option and Interactive System Productivity Facility).
TSO handles interactive sessions, while ISPF/PDF
provides an interactive, full-screen environment for writing and debugging
both batch and interactive programs, dataset maintainence, and miscellaneous
utilities.
